It is a timeless chair because it comes in a material – natural hide obtained by respecting all the properties that comprise its identity – and because the project underlying this chair has the strength to challenge time: the hide will inevitably move, its texture will change and its colour will alter but the chair will express this transition, preserving its functionality and performance over time. For this project, Bartoli Design happily drew upon the experience of Presot in the haute couture sector (the visible stitching is a clear reference to that world), and the boating sector, as seen in the tie-rod device that ensures the tension that would be lost naturally over the years, and in the softening of the hide, which remains robust.

“With great timing, this design project arrives at a time when the concepts of artisan made, Italian craftsmanship and eco-friendly production are the main concerns of those who create, produce and market top-design in Italy. But, slogans aside, it recalls a spontaneous history that is typically Italian, with its almost casual creation that is also rare in terms of its genuine appeal and happy outcome. „
