We are enriching our collection with three new upholstery fabrics by Kvadrat\/Raf Simons: Atom, Phlox and Vidar 4. A special collaboration that we are proud to bring to our products. RAF SIMONS: FROM BELGIUM TO THE LEADING FASHION HOUSES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Born in Belgium in 1968, Raf Simons studied industrial design in Genk. He later moved to Antwerp, where he was encouraged to launch his own label rather than pursue an academic career. In 1995, he launched his menswear line, blending classic tailoring with youth culture and making an impact that defined an entire decade. From then on, his career took him through some of the most influential fashion houses: he became Artistic Director of Jil Sander in 2005, Creative Director of Dior Women from 2012 to 2015, and Chief Creative Officer of Calvin Klein from 2016 to 2018 \u2014 during which time he was twice named Designer of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n\t\t\t\n\n

Since 2020, he has been Co-Creative Director of Prada, working alongside Miuccia Prada. A collector of contemporary art and modern design, Raf Simons brings this sensitivity to every field he works in. Throughout his career, he has consistently explored interdisciplinary collaborations, moving between fashion, art and industry with the same curious perspective.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n \n

ATOM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An experimental boucl\u00e9 with no visible repeat, inspired by fragments of landscape found in Pointillist and Expressionist paintings. Small flecks of colour are scattered across the surface in an almost random pattern. Bold, contrasting yarns \u2014 duck blue and burgundy on black, bright yellow and grey on forest green \u2014 reflect Simons\u2019 approach to colour, while the more subdued combinations have a more classic character.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

PHLOX<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simons\u2019 take on corduroy. A wide-wale fabric with a graphic, three-dimensional character. The palette ranges from rich, floral tones \u2014 reds, greens and bold blues reminiscent of the 1970s \u2014 to a selection of neutrals, deep blues and quieter greens. A subtle iridescence adds depth to this soft-touch fabric.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

VIDAR 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally designed by Fanny Aronsen, Vidar 4 is recoloured by Raf Simons in shades ranging from moss green, dark aubergine, ruby red and midnight blue to brick, earthy tones and neutrals. The satin finish of the surface contrasts with the deeper tones in shadow. Dense and regular, without the irregularities found in the collection\u2019s other boucl\u00e9s, its texture recalls blackberries, orange peel or the familiar knit of a favourite sweater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
